Working safely in guests' homes: your rights as a therapist on MiMi
Updated October 15, 2026 · 2 min read
Going to a stranger's home is something many therapists worry about. Here are the tools and rights MiMi gives therapists so every session is safe and professional.

Know the guest and the address in advance
Every guest on MiMi signs in with a phone number. Before accepting a booking, you see the treatment, duration, appointment time and distance. You can message the guest in the app to ask for directions or confirm details, without sharing your personal phone number.
The right to refuse and to end a session
You have the right to refuse a booking, and the right to end a session if you feel unsafe or the guest's words or behaviour are inappropriate. Ending a session for safety reasons is not counted as a violation on your part.
MiMi offers only wellness and relaxation treatments. Any request outside the booked treatment breaks the code of conduct, and you don't have to go along with it.
SOS button and blocking guests
Throughout the session, the SOS button is always on the booking screen so you can alert MiMi in an emergency. After the session, you can block a guest who broke the rules so you no longer receive their bookings.
Habits that make sessions safer
- Confirm with the guest by message in the app before you set off.
- Tell someone close to you the address and when you expect to be back.
- Keep your phone nearby and fully charged.
- Agree clearly on the treatment and the areas to be massaged before you start.
- If something feels wrong, stop, leave and report it to MiMi.
Reporting and follow-up
If a guest breaks the rules, send a report right in the app. The MiMi team reviews every report and takes action on the guest's account in line with the code of conduct.
